Marathon Petroleum Corporation operates the United States’ largest refining system, with a capacity of approximately three million barrels of crude oil per day across thirteen refineries. It produces gasoline, distillates, renewable diesel, petrochemicals and other refined products, which it supplies to wholesale customers and through retail outlets under the Marathon and ARCO brands. The company also owns the general partner and majority limited partner interest in MPLX LP, a midstream partnership providing gathering, processing, transportation and logistics infrastructure.
