Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AGM)

Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation, known as Farmer Mac, is a U.S. government-sponsored enterprise that provides a secondary market for agricultural real estate mortgages, rural housing, and other rural and farm-related loans. It purchases loans or guarantees securities backed by those assets, helping originators free capital and broaden credit availability to farmers, ranchers, and rural borrowers. The franchise is specialized in rural finance rather than urban residential or commercial mortgage markets.
